VolitionRx Study Demonstrates Prognostic Value of Nu.Q Cancer Assay in Lung Cancer, Paving Way for Personalized Treatment

VolitionRx Limited (NYSE American: VNRX) announced the publication of a clinical study highlighting the prognostic value of its Nu.Q Cancer Assay in patients newly diagnosed with lung cancer. Conducted in collaboration with researchers at France’s Hospices Civils de Lyon, the real-world study analyzed levels of the assay’s H3K27Me3-nucleosome biomarker and found significant associations with cancer stage, overall survival, and progression-free survival. A prognostic model combining the biomarker with clinical factors successfully stratified patients into low- and high-risk mortality groups, according to the company. The paper is currently under peer review.

The findings support the potential use of Nu.Q Cancer to help personalize treatment selection and improve clinical decision-making. Volition said that clinical certification of the test at Hospices Civils de Lyon has been completed, and the company is preparing a reimbursement submission in France under the RIHN framework. Reimbursement represents a key milestone toward routine clinical use in France, and Volition is also pursuing commercialization opportunities with hospital networks and potential licensing partners internationally.

The study adds to a growing body of evidence for Volition’s epigenetic blood tests, which are designed to detect and monitor a range of diseases. The company is focused on advancing the science of epigenetics to improve outcomes for patients with life-altering diseases.
