Vision Marine Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: VMAR) is demonstrating tangible progress in its strategic initiatives, evidenced by a 27% sequential revenue increase in its fiscal third quarter and the successful completion of a $16.3 million at-the-market (ATM) equity offering program. These milestones highlight the company's efforts to advance its E-Motion™ electric propulsion technology, expand its electric boat portfolio, and optimize its retail and service platform.
For the quarter ended May 31, 2026, Vision Marine reported revenue of $18.4 million, up from $14.5 million in the fiscal second quarter. The first nine months of fiscal 2026 saw revenue surge to $48.6 million, compared to a mere $0.4 million in the prior-year period, largely due to the acquisition of Nautical Ventures, a Florida-based retail and service platform. Gross profits for the nine months reached $11.8 million, yielding a margin of 24.3%, a stark improvement from the gross loss in the previous year. Inventory levels decreased by 44% to $20.7 million, while floorplan financing fell by 69% to $10.2 million.
Alexandre Mongeon, CEO and Co-Founder of Vision Marine, attributed the positive results to improved commercial execution and disciplined capital management. “Our expanded operating platform is beginning to demonstrate how stronger commercial execution and disciplined capital management can reinforce one another,” he said. The company also noted growth in recurring revenue streams from marina operations, service, storage, rentals, boat club memberships, and aftersales support, which are expected to foster customer loyalty and diversify the business model beyond one-time boat sales.
In a separate development, Vision Marine announced the completion of its ATM offering, which raised $16.3 million in gross proceeds. Following final settlement, the company has approximately 6.5 million common shares outstanding and about $9.5 million in unrestricted cash. Additionally, Vision Marine has reached agreements to sell three non-core commercial properties in Florida for $13.1 million, proceeds from which will further strengthen its balance sheet. These moves are intended to provide the financial flexibility needed to execute operational priorities and support future growth initiatives.
The company's focus on E-Motion™ commercialization is central to its strategy. The E-Motion 180e is a fully integrated high-voltage electric powertrain designed to replace traditional internal combustion engines in recreational boats. By combining this proprietary technology with its retail and marina platform, Vision Marine aims to capture a leading position in the emerging electric boating market.
Mongeon expressed confidence in the company's trajectory, stating, “Completing the ATM program, together with the expected non-dilutive capital from our pending real estate transactions, strengthens the foundation from which we can continue executing our strategy.” He reaffirmed the company's commitment to advancing E-Motion commercialization, expanding its electric boat portfolio, and building a scalable infrastructure for the future of boating.
Investors and industry observers will be watching to see if Vision Marine can sustain this momentum and translate its strategic investments into long-term shareholder value. The company's recent achievements suggest a positive trajectory, but the ultimate test lies in its ability to scale operations and achieve profitability in the competitive marine technology sector.
