VinFast and GSM have announced significant leadership changes, with Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh assuming the role of CEO of VinFast Global, succeeding Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan becoming Chairman of GSM Global, succeeding Ms. Pham Thu Huong. Additionally, Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang will become CEO of GSM Global and concurrently CEO of GSM Vietnam. These appointments mark a strategic shift as Vingroup and its ecosystem companies transition leadership responsibilities to a younger generation to support their global growth trajectories.
The leadership transitions come at a critical time for both companies. VinFast, which currently operates in 16 countries including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, is entering a period of strong and decisive growth. Its electric cars and motorcycles are manufactured at four facilities across Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. GSM, operating its Green SM brand in seven countries—Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Kazakhstan, and Denmark—plans to expand into at least three additional markets this year and aims to become a globally scaled public company listed on an international stock exchange.
Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh, born in 1993, holds a Bachelor's degree from Singapore Management University and has held several key leadership positions at VinFast and other Vingroup companies. He was appointed Chairman of VinFast Global in May 2026 and will now hold ultimate responsibility for all of VinFast's operations. In addition to his new roles, he will continue as CEO of VinMetal Trading and Production JSC. His extensive cross-sector management experience and strategic operational mindset are expected to drive VinFast's expansion and its mission to advance sustainable mobility.
Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, born in 2000, has held senior leadership positions at VinFast, Green Future, VinSmart Future, GSM, and other companies. He has also invested in and serves as a major shareholder of several industrial, technology, energy, and infrastructure companies within the Vingroup ecosystem, including VinSpeed, VinEnergo, VinMetal, VinVentures, and robotics companies. His appointment reflects Vingroup's commitment to nurturing in-house talent and transitioning leadership to a younger generation.
