Verizon today announced the launch of the Gizmo Watch 4, the latest addition to its Verizon Family ecosystem. The new smartwatch, designed for children, introduces advanced safety features including Watch Removal Detection alerts, real-time location insights, and upcoming severe weather notifications. The device aims to give parents peace of mind while allowing kids more freedom without exposure to social media or unfiltered web browsers.
Key safety features include real-time location tracking, customizable safe zones, and a distraction-free school mode. Guardians can add up to 40 trusted contacts to block strangers. The watch boasts a water-resistant design with a 1.6-inch scratch-resistant glass screen, a faster processor, and a battery life of up to three days. It supports high-quality video calling on Verizon’s network and integrates with the Verizon Family app for centralized management.
Verizon is also introducing a loyalty program through the My Verizon app that eliminates activation and upgrade fees for Gizmo Watch lines. Additionally, Verizon Shine offers weekly chances to win experiences and daily drops of tickets, merchandise, and gift cards. From July 9 to September 3, 2026, new and existing customers can get a free Gizmo Watch 4 with a new line on a 36-month payment plan ($10 per month plus taxes and fees), with $180 in promotional credits applied over 36 months. The watch is available in Dusk Blue and Pistachio Pin at verizon.com or via the My Verizon app.
