UGI Natural Gas Supply Rates Hold Steady in June, Expected to Rise in December

UGI Utilities, Inc. announced today that its purchased gas cost rates will not change on June 1, 2026, providing stability for customers heading into the summer months. However, the company projects an increase in December, reflecting anticipated higher costs in the natural gas market.

The purchased gas cost rate, which reflects the cost of natural gas purchased by UGI on behalf of its customers, is adjusted quarterly. For the upcoming June quarter, the rate will remain unchanged, marking a period of relative stability. UGI attributed the current rate stability to favorable market conditions, but cautioned that factors such as weather patterns, storage levels, and global demand could influence future pricing.

UGI Utilities serves more than 760,000 natural gas and electric customers in 46 counties in Pennsylvania and one county in Maryland. The company is based in Denver, Pennsylvania and is a subsidiary of UGI Corporation. For the December projection, UGI noted that typical seasonal demand and market forecasts suggest higher supply costs.

Customers can find additional information about UGI's rates and energy-saving tips on the company's website at www.ugi.com. UGI also provides updates on social media platforms, including Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).

While the unchanged June rates offer short-term relief, the projected December increase underscores the volatility of natural gas prices. UGI encourages customers to take advantage of budget billing plans and energy efficiency programs to manage costs. The company will provide further details on the December rate change in a future announcement.
