VerifyInvestor.com, powered by tZERO Group, Inc., today released The Accredited Investor Outlook 2026, a research report based on a survey of over 200 verified accredited investors in the United States. The findings indicate that accredited investors are actively seeking to deploy capital, with more than three-quarters (77%) planning to make an investment within the next six months and nearly half anticipating activity within three months. Real estate (66%) and private equity/venture capital (61%) led investment interest, while digital asset securities attracted 27% of respondents, surpassing traditional categories such as infrastructure, hedge funds, and energy-focused investments.
The report highlights that investors prioritize fundamentals and trust over expected returns. While expected returns ranked as the top evaluation criterion (70%), management quality (50.5%), downside protection and risk mitigation (49%), and sponsor track record (48.5%) were nearly as important. Liquidity potential ranked among the lowest criteria at 18%, suggesting a willingness to commit to longer-duration opportunities when fundamentals are compelling.
Tokenized securities are at an inflection point. Only 11% of respondents described themselves as very familiar with the asset class, yet 27% expressed interest—a gap that points to education as the primary barrier to adoption.
