The Dairy Alliance and Georgia Beef Board have announced a new summer initiative, the Beef and Dairy Summer Grilling Sweepstakes, running through June 15. The sweepstakes offers Georgia residents the chance to win one of three curated grilling kits, which include a cooler, a Georgia Beef cast iron skillet, a charcuterie board, and other seasonal essentials. Winners will be selected in mid-June.
The sweepstakes is part of a year-long collaboration between the two organizations, focused on educating consumers about the connections between beef and dairy, two industries deeply rooted in Georgia's agricultural landscape. According to Farrah Newberry, Chief Executive Officer at The Dairy Alliance, 'Summer gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase how beef and dairy work together to create meals that are both delicious and nutrient-rich. Through this partnership, we are highlighting the impact of local farmers while inspiring families to enjoy these foods in new ways at home.'
Throughout the year, the partnership will include recipe content, social media collaborations, and on-site events that demonstrate how beef and dairy complement each other both on the plate and on the farm. The organizations aim to expand educational outreach, highlight the nutritional benefits of beef and dairy, and increase awareness about sustainable practices in agriculture.
The timing of the sweepstakes coincides with National Beef Month in May and National Dairy Month in June, giving consumers a timely way to celebrate the season while connecting more closely with the farmers and ingredients behind their favorite meals.
