Lojek will receive $2,500 to support her upcoming studies at Northwestern University. Lojek plans to continue officiating during college, having already researched youth soccer leagues in Evanston, IL. She looks forward to helping a new generation of athletes gain confidence on the field. As an incoming college student, she intends to balance community service with her pursuit of a professional degree. While undecided on a major, she is interested in economics, legal studies, and Northwestern's pre-medical track.
"Refereeing has been such a huge part of my life that I cannot imagine simply stopping when I go to college," Lojek said. Her passion for the sport and desire to serve others are evident in her conversations.
