Stonegate Initiates Coverage on HyOrc Corporation, Highlighting Green Methanol Potential

Stonegate Capital Partners has initiated coverage on HyOrc Corporation (OTCQB: HYOR), a company focused on converting refuse-derived fuel (RDF) into green methanol. HyOrc's process transforms prepared municipal and industrial waste into synthesis gas, which is then cleaned and converted into methanol through catalytic synthesis. The coverage highlights HyOrc's potential to disrupt the methanol market by targeting production costs of approximately €350 per tonne, compared to the conventional grey methanol benchmark of about €850 per tonne.

However, Stonegate notes that the core equity story hinges less on broad clean-tech exposure and more on whether HyOrc can successfully transition from pilot and equipment-delivery history to commercial-scale methanol production. The clearest near-term validation is the company's plan to ship its fully funded initial 1 tonne per day (TPD) Porto methanol module in September 2026, as the first step toward an 8 TPD facility in Portugal. Once installed and operated continuously, this will demonstrate the economic viability of HyOrc's technology.

Beyond methanol, HyOrc is developing external-combustion power systems for stationary generation and locomotive retrofits. The company has delivered two 500 kW turbine units and signed a memorandum of understanding with GB Railfreight, providing early reference points. However, these opportunities remain ahead of full commercial deployment, as noted in the full announcement.

The initiation of coverage by Stonegate Capital Partners, a leading capital markets advisory firm, brings increased visibility to HyOrc. According to the press release, Stonegate provides equity research and institutional investor outreach, and its affiliate, Stonegate Capital Markets (member FINRA), offers investment banking and capital raising services. For more details, the full announcement is available here.

HyOrc's ability to achieve commercial-scale production and cost targets will be critical for its long-term success. The upcoming shipment of the Porto module and subsequent operations will be closely watched by investors and industry observers. If successful, HyOrc could offer a competitive alternative to conventional methanol production, with added environmental benefits from waste-to-fuel conversion.
