SS Innovations International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII) announced today that its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system has been approved for telesurgeries in Indonesia and the Philippines. The company also disclosed that more than 150 cumulative telesurgeries have been successfully performed using the system, primarily in India, marking a significant milestone in the adoption of remote robotic surgery.
Among recent achievements, 18 inter-hospital telesurgeries were performed between two Indian cities on February 14, 2026, within an eight-hour period. These included 13 gastric bypass procedures conducted by Dr. Mohit Bhandari from Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics in Indore and five complex gynecological surgeries by Dr. Priya Bhave Chittawar from HER Health Hospital in Bhopal. All procedures utilized the SSi MantrAsana Tele Surgeon Console, a compact, chair-based version of the surgeon command center that enhances portability and enables telesurgeries from various settings, including physician offices.
This feat follows a robotic telesurgery marathon on December 23, 2025, from SS Innovations’ headquarters, where nine surgeons performed 24 telesurgeries within 12 hours on patients across multiple Indian locations. The procedures spanned ten different types, including intricate cardiac surgeries.
Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Chairman and CEO of SS Innovations, stated, “The SSi Mantra continues to pioneer telesurgery in real-world practice with rapidly growing adoption by leading physicians. We are thrilled to receive approval in Indonesia and the Philippines and to surpass 150 telesurgeries, indicating significant traction in enabling state-of-the-art remote surgical care. The SSi Mantra’s capabilities empower the cross-sharing of expertise and dismantle geographical barriers to care.”
The company is set to host the Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference 2026 (SMRSC 2026) from April 9-11, 2026, in New Delhi, India. The conference will feature more than 20 live telesurgeries using the SSi Mantra, spanning multiple specialties and led by top experts. Registration is available at https://ssinnovations.com/SMRSC_2026/register/.
The SSi Mantra is a modular, multi-arm system with advanced features including 3 to 5 modular arms, an open-faced ergonomic surgeon command center, a large 3D 4K monitor, and virtual real-time imaging. It utilizes over 40 types of robotic endo-surgical instruments and has been clinically validated in India for more than 100 different surgical procedures.
