SS Innovations Reports 79% Procedure Growth, Expanding Robotic Surgery Access Globally

SS Innovations International (NASDAQ: SSII) reported significant growth in the adoption of its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system, with cumulative procedures reaching 14,103 as of Sept. 8, 2026, a 79% increase from 7,885 at the end of 2025. The installed base of systems grew 42% to 238 units, up from 168. These figures underscore the company's expanding footprint in the global surgical robotics market, where it aims to make robotic surgery more affordable and accessible.

The SSi Mantra is now installed in 12 countries, and approximately 1,500 physicians have been trained on the platform. The system has been used for more than 170 types of surgical procedures, demonstrating its versatility. Recent international milestones include the launch of robotic cardiac surgery in Colombia, the installation of the first SSi Mantra in Sri Lanka, and the first telesurgery within the Philippines. These developments highlight the system's potential to bring advanced surgical care to new regions.

In addition, the company highlighted 258 cumulative pediatric robotic surgeries and 188 robotic telesurgeries as of Aug. 31, including a telesurgery performed over a distance of more than 13,600 miles between Colombia and India. In August, five SSi Mantra systems were used to complete 50 robotic general surgery procedures in a single day in India. Such achievements illustrate the system's efficiency and its ability to support high-volume surgical workflows.

Looking ahead, SS Innovations expects the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to complete its review of the SSi Mantra 510(k) premarket notification by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The company also believes it can obtain European Union CE marking certification by year-end 2026. These regulatory milestones, if achieved, would open up two of the largest healthcare markets, potentially accelerating adoption and revenue growth. The company's focus on cost-effective solutions could disrupt the robotic surgery landscape, which is currently dominated by expensive systems.

SS Innovations International, Inc. develops innovative surgical robotic technologies with a vision to make the benefits of robotic surgery affordable and accessible to a larger segment of the global population. Its product range includes the proprietary SSi Mantra system and the comprehensive suite of SSi Mudra surgical instruments, which support a variety of procedures including cardiac surgery. An American company headquartered in India, SS Innovations plans to expand the global presence of its technologically advanced, user-friendly, and cost-effective surgical robotic solutions.
