SKYX Platforms Corp. (NASDAQ: SKYX) announced it will deploy its advanced smart home and AI platform technologies during a master renovation of The Grand Hotel du Parc, a historical hotel in La Bourboule, France, owned by Group OTT. This marks SKYX's first European hotel collaboration and is expected to lead to additional partnerships with the group.
The renovation, currently underway, covers rooms, suites, bars, restaurants, lobby, ballroom, spa, gym, meeting rooms, and corridors. The hotel, formerly known as The Grand Medicis Hotel, currently has 100 rooms and suites and plans to add 30 more. SKYX will supply thousands of units of its plug-and-play technologies, including ceiling lighting, ceiling fans, recessed lights, down lights, EXIT signs, emergency lights, indoor and outdoor lights, and wall lights.
The deployment is significant because SKYX's technologies reduce renovation time and cost by up to 90% compared to traditional methods, according to the company. By integrating these systems, Group OTT, which has developed over 250 buildings in Europe valued at over $4 billion, expects to cut costs and enhance lifestyle and safety standards. The collaboration also opens opportunities for SKYX to generate recurring revenues through interchangeability, upgrades, AI services, monitoring, and subscriptions.
Jean-François Ott, Founder of Group OTT, expressed excitement about introducing SKYX's game-changing technologies during the grand opening and anticipates deploying them in additional hotels. Rani Kohen, Founder and Executive Chairman of SKYX, emphasized the importance of this European expansion and the potential for future growth in both U.S. and European hotel segments.
The Grand Hotel du Parc is located in La Bourboule, a leading thermal spa destination focused on health, wellness, and longevity tourism. The renovation is being executed in three phases, combining hospitality, residential offerings, food and beverage, and immersive experiences. SKYX holds over 100 U.S. and global patents and pending applications, and owns 60 lighting and home décor websites. The company aims to make homes and buildings advanced, safe, and smart as the new standard.
