Silver Crown Royalties Inc. (Cboe:SCRI, OTCQX:SLCRF, BF:QS0) released its audited financial results for the year ended December 31, 2025, highlighting record revenue amid a surging silver price but also reporting a wider net loss due to impairments on certain royalty assets. The company generated revenues of $1,233,408 based on minimum quarterly payments of 22,281 silver ounces, compared to $581,337 in 2024 on 14,525 ounces, reflecting the benefit of silver trading above US$70 per ounce—a more than 100% increase over the fiscal year.
Despite the revenue growth, total loss for 2025 was $4,309,043, up from $3,593,343 in 2024 and $1,483,543 in 2023. The increased loss was driven by non-cash impairment charges, including $940,446 on the Gold Mountain Royalty related to the Elk Gold mine operations halt, and a provision of $530,409 for expected credit loss on royalties receivable from the PGDM Complex. Additionally, a full impairment provision was recorded on the BacTech Royalty due to lack of progress on its bioleaching facility in Ecuador.
The company made strategic acquisitions during the year, completing the purchase of a 15% silver royalty on PPX Mining's Igor 4 Project in Peru for US$2,740,000, with minimum quarterly payments of 14,062.50 ounces beginning March 31, 2026. It also acquired a 90% silver royalty on EDM Resources' Scotia Mine in Nova Scotia, with minimum annual deliveries of 7,000 ounces for 10 years starting from commercial production. These additions are expected to drive aggressive revenue growth in 2026.
CEO Peter Bures noted that the company holds over C$7 million in cash and silver bullion, enabling further royalty acquisitions without dilution. However, challenges persisted at the PGDM Complex in Brazil, where operator Pilar Gold faced setbacks, and at the Elk Gold mine, which entered receivership and is expected to pause cash inflows for about three years under new ownership. The company remains optimistic about long-term value from these assets.
