At the 13th Schaeffler Automotive Symposium, held June 15-17, 2026, at the new Project and Technology Center in Bühl, Germany, Schaeffler AG is presenting its latest product innovations and technological developments to over 300 customers. The event, themed “Beyond Driving. Innovation made by Schaeffler,” marks the first time the company demonstrates its expanded product portfolio and comprehensive systems understanding resulting from the successful integration of Vitesco Technologies.
Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG, emphasized the significance of the symposium: “Traditionally, the Schaeffler Automotive Symposium stands for lively discussions with customers and the opportunity to experience innovations and new technologies first-hand. As a motion technology company, we will present the expanded competencies and product portfolio combining our strengths in mechanical engineering and mechatronics with new complementary expertise in electronics and sensors.”
Schaeffler aims to generate 10 percent of its revenue in new segments by 2035, while maintaining its core automotive business. Rosenfeld noted that Europe remains a core market, and many innovations originate there. The transformation of mobility and heterogeneous market developments require high innovative capacity, resilience, and speed to market. Thomas Stierle, CEO E-Mobility at Schaeffler AG, stated: “With our broad portfolio, our global presence and local supply chains, and our pronounced systems expertise, we consistently transfer innovations to mass production. In this way, we are actively advancing the mobility transformation.”
The symposium presents over 320 products grouped into four technology clusters: Vehicle Control, Chassis & Body, Powertrain, and Energy Management. For passenger cars, solutions focus on connected, software-driven, electrified mobility. In commercial vehicles, zero-emission solutions for battery-electric vehicles (BEVs), fuel cell-electric vehicles (FCEVs), and hydrogen-powered internal combustion engines (H2-ICE) are highlighted. For two-wheelers, bearings, engine control units, automatic transmissions, and connectivity solutions are showcased.
Matthias Zink, CEO Powertrain & Chassis at Schaeffler AG, explained: “At the symposium, we will present integrated product innovations for cars, trucks, and two-wheelers from a single source and show how Schaeffler supports customers as a preferred technology partner with extensive systems expertise and a high level of vertical integration.” The event is held every four years and will continue globally, with stops in Detroit, USA (September 17), Suzhou, China (November 4-6), and Tokyo, Japan (December 2-3).
Schaeffler’s expanded capabilities, particularly in electronics and sensors from the Vitesco Technologies integration, position the company to address the challenges of mobility transformation. The symposium underscores Schaeffler’s role as a technology partner, offering integrated solutions that link functions intelligently for a better driving experience.
