Powermax Minerals Inc. (CSE: PMAX) (OTCQB: PWMXF) has identified multiple high-priority rare earth element (“REE”) exploration targets at its 6,145-hectare Hopkins REE Project in northeastern Ontario following a comprehensive desktop study. The analysis, which integrated geological, geophysical, geochemical, and historical data, highlighted several structurally controlled target zones, with Block A and its A1 target receiving the highest priority for follow-up exploration.
The company intends to undertake a phased exploration program, subject to funding, permitting, seasonal conditions, and final program design. Planned work includes airborne surveys, geological mapping, sampling, and, if warranted, trenching and drilling to further evaluate the property’s REE potential. As global demand for rare earths continues to rise due to electrification, renewable energy, and defense applications, Powermax is expanding its North American portfolio of critical mineral assets to help address growing interest in secure domestic supply chains.
According to the company, the desktop study has successfully delineated multiple target zones that warrant immediate ground follow-up. The A1 target within Block A is considered the most prospective, exhibiting strong geochemical anomalies and structural settings conducive to REE mineralization. The company’s technical team is now planning the next stages of exploration, which will be executed in a cost-effective and systematic manner to maximize the potential of the Hopkins project.
