Crit Team, an independent studio under ChillyRoom Game, has announced that a public multiplayer demo for No Such Place will be available on Steam starting June 15, 2026, just ahead of Steam Next Fest. The demo provides early access to the game's progression system and supports both solo play and online co-op for up to four players. Available in English, Japanese, and Chinese, the demo allows players to carry over part of their progression data into the full release, which is expected in Q4 2026.
In No Such Place, players assume the role of agents from the Unknown Research Consortium (U.R.C.), a mysterious organization tasked with investigating supernatural anomalies erased from historical records. Players are dispatched into fragmented dimensions, where they must survive hostile environments, gather supplies and intelligence, and locate an extraction point before time runs out. The game emphasizes survival, exploration, and teamwork, with environments ranging from abandoned military outposts to mist-shrouded research facilities and frozen mountains.
One of the game's standout features is its flexible weapon customization system, which allows players to combine parts from different eras and technologies. As described in the press release, players can attach a motorcycle suppressor to an assault rifle or mount a Victorian brass scope on modern military hardware. This corrupted technology system encourages experimentation, as compatibility constraints are removed in anomalous dimensions.
Progression in No Such Place is multifaceted, with players improving physical attributes and weapon proficiencies through repeated missions. Resources recovered during expeditions can be used to build and upgrade a Safehouse, which serves as a base for future operations. The game also features 4-player co-op, enabling squads to cover more ground, tackle dangerous objectives, and support each other during extractions.
