Nanox Imaging Ltd. (NASDAQ: NNOX), a leader in innovative medical imaging technology, announced that its subsidiary, Nanox AI Ltd., has entered into a sales reseller agreement with Vertec Scientific Ltd. for the commercialization of its Nanox.AI bone solution, HealthOST, in the United Kingdom. The agreement grants Vertec an exclusive license to market and resell HealthOST in the UK, subject to minimum annual license commitments, for an initial three-year term. This strategic partnership is set to enhance the availability of advanced AI-driven diagnostic tools within the UK's healthcare system, potentially improving early detection and management of osteoporosis and other musculoskeletal conditions.
HealthOST is an FDA-cleared and UKCA/CE-marked AI software solution that analyzes eligible routine CT scans to support clinicians in evaluating and assessing musculoskeletal disease of the spine, including osteoporosis. By leveraging artificial intelligence, HealthOST can identify vertebral fractures and other indicators of bone fragility that might otherwise go unnoticed during routine imaging. This capability is particularly significant given that osteoporosis often remains undiagnosed until a fracture occurs, leading to substantial morbidity and healthcare costs. The integration of such AI tools into standard clinical workflows could enable earlier intervention and better patient outcomes.
The importance of this agreement is underscored by the recent recommendation from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). In November 2025, NICE recommended HealthOST and a previous version, HealthVCF, among five AI technologies for National Health Service (NHS) use as options to aid opportunistic detection of vertebral fragility fractures. This endorsement from NICE highlights the clinical and economic value of these AI solutions, as they can be applied to CT scans already performed for other reasons, without additional radiation exposure or patient burden. The exclusive reseller agreement with Vertec Scientific, a well-established supplier of medical equipment in the UK, is expected to facilitate the adoption of HealthOST across NHS trusts and private healthcare providers.
The collaboration aligns with Nanox's broader mission to drive the world's transition to preventive healthcare by delivering an integrated, end-to-end medical imaging and healthcare services platform. Nanox combines affordable imaging hardware, advanced AI-based solutions, cloud-based software, access to remote radiology, health IT solutions, and a marketplace to enable earlier detection, improved clinical efficiency, and broader access to care. The Nanox ecosystem includes Nanox.ARC, a cost-effective, 3D multi-source digital tomosynthesis imaging system; Nanox.AI, a suite of AI-based algorithms that augment the interpretation of routine CT imaging; Nanox.CLOUD, a cloud-based platform for secure data management and advanced imaging analytics; Nanox.MARKETPLACE and USARAD Holdings, which provide access to remote radiology and cardiology experts; and Nanox Health IT, which delivers RIS, PACS, AI, dictation, and secure infrastructure solutions.
This agreement not only expands Nanox's commercial footprint in Europe but also reinforces the growing role of AI in routine medical imaging. By enabling opportunistic screening for osteoporosis during CT scans performed for unrelated indications, HealthOST has the potential to identify at-risk patients who might otherwise be missed. This proactive approach is critical, as osteoporosis affects millions of people worldwide and is often termed a 'silent disease' because it progresses without symptoms until a fracture occurs. The UK market, with its centralized NHS and emphasis on cost-effective care, is an ideal setting for such technology, and the NICE recommendation provides a strong impetus for adoption.
For Nanox, this partnership represents a significant step toward achieving its vision of expanding the reach of medical imaging both within and beyond traditional hospital settings. By leveraging Vertec Scientific's established distribution network and customer relationships, Nanox can accelerate the deployment of HealthOST and potentially improve patient outcomes across the UK. The exclusive nature of the agreement, coupled with minimum annual license commitments, ensures a focused and committed effort to commercialize the product, while the three-year term allows for the development of a robust market presence. As healthcare systems worldwide increasingly embrace digital health solutions, this collaboration exemplifies how AI can be integrated into existing workflows to deliver tangible benefits to patients and providers alike.
