Motivational Speaker Rocky Romanella Argues AI Cannot Replace Human Leadership in New Keynote

Top motivational speaker and bestselling author Rocky Romanella has released a new keynote titled 'The Heart and Soul of AI,' addressing the critical role of human leadership in an age of artificial intelligence. In a recent newsletter, Romanella argued that while AI is reshaping industries and accelerating decisions, it lacks the heart and soul necessary to lead people effectively.

Romanella, who spent nearly 40 years at UPS and later served as CEO of The UPS Store, draws on his extensive experience to challenge leaders to recommit to their people, purpose, and values. He believes that AI can produce but cannot lead, and that the future belongs to leaders who lead with humanity.

'AI is the most powerful tool of our lifetime, yet it cannot feel, believe, trust, hope, or care,' Romanella wrote. 'It cannot inspire a team on the brink of burnout. It cannot look someone in the eye and say, “I believe in you.” Only leaders can do that.'

His keynote introduces the concept of AIAI—'Am I All In?'—an internal operating system for leaders in the AI era. It challenges leaders to master three questions: What is the issue or opportunity? How do I get my team aligned and committed? How do I turn intent into business results?

The full text of Romanella's newsletter is available at 3SixtyManagementServices.com in the newsletters section. He also hosts The Leadership Library Podcast, now in its ninth season, and contributes to Forbes Business Council, with articles available at this page.

Romanella's book, 'Tighten The Lug Nuts: The Principles Of Balanced Leadership,' recently achieved number one bestseller status in both Business Management and Business Leadership. The book uses his decades of experience to explore how true leaders can guide organizations to new levels of success.

Romanella emphasizes that technology may change the work, but leadership must still lift the people. He warns that a generation entering the workforce is waiting for AI to define them, leading to paralysis and fear. Leaders must have the courage to bring heart and soul back into the conversation.
