Momentic, a quality platform for engineers and agents, today announced a major platform update designed to address the growing verification gap created by AI coding tools. As AI enables teams to ship code faster than ever before, traditional software verification methods have struggled to keep up, leading to bugs reaching production and engineering teams spending excessive time on hotfixes.
According to the company, the new agentic quality platform features agents that run on a shared product knowledge base. These include an Explore Agent that automatically expands test coverage, a Failure Classification Agent that categorizes failures and opens pull requests (PRs) to fix non-bugs, and an intent-based test format that is readable by both humans and AI. Early beta results indicate that the agents have analyzed over 70,000 test failures, opened 400 pull requests, written 600 tests with a 73% merge rate, executed more than 2 billion steps, and verified over 80,000 PRs.
Momentic's platform aims to help organizations ship fewer bugs to production and reduce engineering time lost to test maintenance. The solution provides comprehensive cross-platform support for web, Android, and iOS applications. Companies like Notion, Xero, Bilt, Webflow, and SPS Commerce are already using Momentic to prevent incidents from reaching customers as code volume scales exponentially with AI.
"AI coding tools have made it possible for teams of all sizes to ship more code than ever before, but how that code gets validated has not kept up," the company stated in the announcement. "The result is bugs reaching production faster than teams can catch them, and engineering teams stuck firefighting hotfixes instead of shipping."
Founded in late 2023, Momentic is backed by Standard Capital, Y Combinator, FCVC, Transpose Platform, Dropbox Ventures, and Karman Ventures. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California. For more information, visit momentic.ai.
