Meridian Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: MRDN) announced a series of executive and board appointments as part of a planned succession process aimed at strengthening operational leadership and corporate governance for its next phase of international expansion. Zoran Milosevic, who has led Meridianbet for over 18 years, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Meridian Holdings, while William Scott transitions from Interim CEO to Chief Financial Officer and continues as Chairman of the Board. Michael Prescott has joined the board as an independent director and will serve on the Audit Committee.
The changes come as the company seeks to build on its existing platform and drive disciplined execution across its global operations. Scott stated that the new structure gives Milosevic clear accountability for day-to-day operations while he focuses on financial stewardship and capital allocation. Milosevic emphasized his priority to extend the operating discipline that drove Meridianbet's performance to the broader group and strengthen the company's position in regulated markets.
Milosevic's background includes public governance roles in Serbia, including service on the Board of the National Lottery and as a Member of the Serbian National Assembly. Scott, a South African Chartered Accountant with over 35 years of experience, has held senior roles at GTECH/Lottomatica and board positions at Ithuba, South Africa's National Lottery. Prescott brings extensive global gaming industry experience, having served as General Counsel at GTECH and IGT and held partnership roles at major international law firms.
The appointments follow Meridian's second-quarter 2026 results and reflect the board's focus on governance and sustainable long-term growth. The company operates across more than 20 regulated markets through its B2C division led by Meridianbet Group and its B2B division comprising Expanse Studios and GMAG. Additional subsidiaries include RKings Competitions, MexPlay, and Classics for a Cause.
