Mad Hatter's July 4th Waterfront Festival Returns for 12th Year in Vallejo

The Mad Hatter's July 4th Waterfront Festival will return to Vallejo's Barbara Kondylis Waterfront Park on Saturday, July 4, 2026, marking its 12th year of celebrating Independence Day. The event, produced by Hyperion Community Partners LLC in partnership with the City of Vallejo, promises a full day of entertainment, recreation, and community gathering from daybreak until after dusk.

Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day, including the popular Annual Maritime Dog Parade, interactive exhibits with the Wholly Wackers (sheep), rescued reptiles, a Kids Zone, Giant Kites, Classic Cars, cultural performances, and live music. The park's location offers views of Mare Island's historic maritime ships docked at the island's shipbuilding facilities.

As evening approaches, the festival transitions into a Night Market, featuring an international food court with diverse cuisines, shopping from local vendors, and live entertainment. The night culminates in a Lighted Sky Show with a Grand Finale, celebrating the 250th anniversary of Independence Day.

Hyperion Community Partners LLC also produces the Mad Hatter Holiday Festival, Parade & Tree Lighting on the first Saturday of December each year. More information about the July 4th event can be found on the festival's website at HatterVallejo.com and on Facebook at facebook.com/MadHatterHolidayVallejo. A video produced by WhatSF, a San Francisco television program, highlights the festival and has garnered over 100,000 views on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN6MhLHYFrI.

The festival is expected to draw thousands of visitors to Vallejo's waterfront, offering a unique blend of daytime family fun and an evening market experience. The event's longevity underscores its importance as a community tradition and a significant attraction for the region.
