As the Texas Hill Country faces another round of devastating floods, LiftFund has announced the 2026 Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Program to provide emergency grants of up to $10,000 for eligible small businesses and nonprofit organizations. The program aims to address the compounding financial hardships caused by the July 2026 floods, which struck many businesses still recovering from last year's disasters.
Grants may be used for rebuilding and repair expenses, replacing lost or damaged equipment, and covering general business operating expenses. To qualify, applicants must have been operating on or before July 1, 2025, and be located in one of the following counties: Bandera, Blanco, Burnet, Comal, Edwards, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, Medina, Menard, Real, or Uvalde. Businesses must also demonstrate a negative economic impact directly from the July 2026 floods.
“Our hearts are with the Texas small businesses that are facing yet another tragic disaster. When disasters strike, they need trusted partners who can respond in a matter of days to sustain the business and its employees,” said Amy Hereford, President and CEO of LiftFund. “Our team is prepared to help business owners stabilize, recover, and continue serving the communities that depend on them.”
Over the past year, LiftFund has deployed 525 grants and loans totaling more than $17 million for small businesses across the Hill Country. The organization has more than three decades of experience helping entrepreneurs recover from disasters, including hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Its disaster recovery systems prioritize speed, accountability, and equitable access to capital.
“Every small business that reopens strengthens its community,” Hereford said. “When entrepreneurs can recover, employees return to work, families regain stability, and local economies begin moving forward again.”
LiftFund is also working with philanthropic organizations, corporate partners, and community leaders to expand recovery resources. Additional funding will help increase access to affordable financing, grants, and business support services as recovery efforts continue.
