The 9th annual LATINAFest, the nation's largest outdoor festival celebrating Latinas in the U.S., is set to return on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Jesse Brewer Park in Exposition Park. This year's theme, 'UNSTOPPABLE,' reflects the undeniable growth, influence, and economic power of Latinas across the United States. According to organizers, the festival comes one week before Los Angeles hosts FIFA events, positioning it as a powerful prelude to the city's international moment.
From 2010 to 2022, the Latina population grew by 5.6 million, the largest numeric increase of any major female demographic group. Today, Latinas represent over 22.2 million women, making up 17% of all adult women in the U.S. as of 2024, and are the fastest-growing major female ethnic group in the country. LATINAFest co-founder Bel Hernandez Castillo emphasized that 'Latinas are not a trend—we are the future of growth,' noting that marketing to Latinas should be seen as a business strategy, not just a DEI initiative.
The festival will feature over 100 exhibitors and vendors, showcasing Latina-owned businesses that are fueling economic growth nationwide. According to Forbes, Latina founders are starting businesses at faster rates than any other demographic group in the U.S. Co-founder Naibe Reynoso described LATINAFest as 'more than a festival—it's a movement,' creating a space where culture, commerce, and community come together.
Highlights of the 2026 festival include a keynote speech by celebrity event planner Loriann Serna, founder of Wife of the Party; an opening ceremony with acclaimed choreographer Stephanie Stevens, recently featured in Bad Bunny's halftime show, alongside youth soccer teams; an author's panel featuring award-winning novelist Reyna Grande, presenting her latest work Migrant Heart, and Julissa Arce, author of My (Underground) American Dream; and a panel titled 'Breaking the Silence' addressing untold stories within the community. Other activities include live selling experiences powered by Viva Shop, morning Mayan yoga and wellness programming, art installations, musical performances, tequila and mezcal tastings, salsa dance lessons, and a full day of shopping and food.
LATINAFest has seen growing attendance, with over 4,000 guests in 2025, and anticipates even greater numbers in 2026. The event is supported by sponsors including Angel City FC, Square, AARP, El Clasificado, LATINATION, Hispanic Coalition of Small Businesses, NAFTA Distributors, Empowered With Gina, Rancho La Gloria, Amigas on Tour, Sazon Grip, and Melrose Bouquets. Community partners include NLBWA-LA and other organizations.
Leading up to the festival, two major events are planned: Taste of LATINAFest on May 16, 2026, in partnership with METRO, celebrating the opening of the D Line station at Wilshire Blvd. & Fairfax; and the LATINAFest 5K Fun Run on May 30, 2026, sponsored by Angel City, promoting wellness and community.
The event underscores the economic and cultural significance of Latinas, who are driving growth in entrepreneurship and consumer markets. As LATINAFest continues to expand, it serves as a platform for celebrating Latina influence and connecting brands with this rapidly growing demographic.
