Lahontan Gold Corp. (TSXV: LG) (OTCQB: LGCXF) has released the first assay results from its 2025 reverse-circulation drilling program at the West Santa Fe Project in Nevada's Walker Lane. The initial hole, WSF25-06R, intersected 54.9 meters grading 1.00 grams per tonne (g/t) gold equivalent, including a higher-grade interval of 16.8 meters grading 1.75 g/t gold equivalent. The mineralization is oxide and silver-rich, with individual silver assays reaching up to 176 g/t. These results confirm historic drilling data and indicate a shallow, oxidized disseminated gold-silver system at West Santa Fe.
The West Santa Fe Project is located adjacent to Lahontan's flagship Santa Fe Mine Project, which has an NI 43-101 compliant indicated resource of 1,539,000 ounces of gold equivalent and an inferred resource of 411,000 ounces. The company plans to advance both projects during 2025, including updating the Santa Fe Preliminary Economic Assessment and drill testing West Santa Fe. The technical content of the release was reviewed by Michael Lindholm, CPG, a qualified person under NI 43-101.
Lahontan Gold Corp. holds four gold and silver properties in Nevada, with the Santa Fe mine having produced 359,202 ounces of gold and 702,067 ounces of silver from 1988 to 1995. The company's strategy focuses on advancing these assets toward production. For more information, visit the company's website at www.lahontangoldcorp.com.
