Kinetic Dance Force Advances to National Viral Video Finals, Seeks Community Support

Kinetic Dance Force (KDF), a Winter Springs dance studio, has advanced to the final round of the StarQuest Dance Competition's Viral Video of the Year contest. The studio is asking Central Florida to vote its dancers to the national title from Monday, June 22 through Sunday, June 28, 2026.

KDF earned its place in the finale after its routine won a weekly Viral Video of the Weekend title. The studio now competes against weekly winners from across the country. The nominated routine, "Rosie the Riveter," celebrates strength, resilience and female empowerment. The choreography spotlights confidence and determination in its young performers, who range in age from five to eight years old.

"This dance is about showing our dancers that they are strong, capable, and can accomplish anything they set their minds to," said KDF Owner and Artistic Director Kimmie Gehr, a Sanford native and former Radio City Rockette. "We're incredibly proud of the hard work they put into this performance, and we're hoping our community will help support them in this final round of voting."

The grand prize includes a StarQuest gift certificate for the studio to apply toward the upcoming 2027 dance season and a Dream Duffel Elite Backpack for every dancer in the routine. Voting is open now. Community members can watch the performance and vote at https://www.kdanceforce.com/rosie.

This announcement underscores the importance of community support for local arts programs. As dance studios like Kinetic Dance Force compete on national stages, the outcome can bring recognition and resources that enhance their ability to serve young dancers. The "Rosie the Riveter" routine not only showcases talent but also delivers a message of empowerment that resonates beyond the competition.

For the dancers, ages five to eight, participating in such a high-profile contest builds confidence and teamwork. The potential prize—a gift certificate for the 2027 season and backpacks—provides tangible benefits that can reduce financial barriers for families. Moreover, the exposure from winning the Viral Video of the Year title could attract new students and sponsors, strengthening the studio's role in the community.

Kinetic Dance Force has established itself as a hub for recreational and competitive dancers across Seminole County and Central Florida. By advancing to the finals, the studio highlights the quality of its training and the dedication of its students. The call for votes is a reminder that community engagement can directly impact local organizations' success.

As voting continues through June 28, the outcome will demonstrate the power of collective support. Whether or not KDF wins, the journey has already brought attention to the studio's mission of developing technique, confidence and artistry in a positive environment.
