Interfaith Dialogue at Church of Scientology Dallas Strengthens Community Bonds

On January 22, 2026, the Church of Scientology Dallas hosted an interfaith event that brought together approximately 100 leaders and parishioners from various denominations in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The evening, sponsored by the church and the national group Sharing Sacred Spaces, aimed to foster open communication and mutual understanding among different faith communities.

Guests toured the church's course rooms, where Scientology's practical tools for life are studied, and learned about one-on-one spiritual counseling. They also explored the humanitarian programs the church sponsors and supports, and gained insights into the life of Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard. The event underscored the Church of Scientology Dallas's commitment to interfaith activities as a means to resolve shared social issues.

Sharing Sacred Spaces, an organization formed after the events of September 11, 2001, focuses on overcoming bias, misunderstanding, and polarization through immersive education. The group's involvement emphasized the necessity of interfaith cooperation in addressing common challenges such as drug abuse, crime, poor education, and troubled homes. According to the organization, the commonalities among various faith communities are evident when working together.

The Interfaith Alliance of Irving, of which the Church of Scientology Dallas is a member, held its monthly meeting at the same location and supported the evening. For years, local Scientology representatives have collaborated with this alliance on community initiatives, including food and clothing drives and Peace Day celebrations. These efforts demonstrate the practical benefits of interfaith collaboration.

The Church of Scientology Dallas, located at 451 Decker Dr in Irving, Texas, opened its current building in April 2009 to serve as a place for all denominations to find tools for improving lives. The church is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 9:30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 6:00pm. For more information, visit the church or watch the episode featuring Dallas on Scientology TV called "Destination Scientology: Dallas."

The event highlighted that interfaith dialogue is not merely about tolerance but about active collaboration to address societal issues. By opening its doors and sharing its resources, the Church of Scientology Dallas demonstrated a commitment to building a more cohesive community. The success of this evening suggests that such initiatives can serve as a model for other communities seeking to bridge divides and work toward common goals.
