This year's events feature over 1,850 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions, including first-time participants from Brunei, Timor-Leste, Colombia, and Greece. The fairs will showcase international delicacies, premium teas, health and beauty products, and smart home solutions, offering a comprehensive platform for sourcing, networking, and retail experiences. The HKTDC's Associate Executive Director, Smilely Lam, emphasized the growing market interest in wellness and holistic wellbeing, noting that Hong Kong serves as an ideal gateway for food companies to access the Chinese Mainland and global markets. The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China will also organize delegations from multiple provinces to promote premium agricultural products globally.
Food Expo PRO introduces a new 'Meat Zone' to meet rising demand for premium meat products, featuring Korean frozen marinated barbecue and halal-certified beef tendon balls from a local Hong Kong brand. The popular 'Coffee Zone' expands with exhibitors from Yunnan, Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States. The 'Food Science and Technology Zone' will highlight alternative foods and food-service technologies, including an intelligent food-service robot demonstration. The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will showcase rare teas such as first-flush Kunlu Mountain purple bud pu'er from Yunnan, white tea from Laos, and Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka. New pavilions include the Chinese Mainland Matcha Pavilion and the Yixing Zisha Teaware Pavilion. The 'Tea Lifestyle' zone introduces innovative tea products like sparkling tea and tea-based cocktails, while the Hong Kong International Tea Culture Forum will explore the internationalization of Chinese tea brands.
Five Themed Days will run throughout the fairs, covering topics like food, wellness, sleep, and lifestyle, with activities including celebrity chef demonstrations, health seminars, and horticultural therapy workshops. The Food Expo will feature over 100 dessert products, with a new Dessert and Gelato Theme, including low-fat gelato made with patented mushroom extract and innovative flavors. The Gourmet Zone celebrates its 15th edition with 15 celebrity chefs and a commemorative recipe book.
