HH Red Stone Named a 2026 WTOP News Top Workplace Based on Employee Feedback

HH Red Stone Properties and HH Fund have been named a 2026 WTOP News Top Workplace, an honor determined entirely by employee feedback, the company announced. Tadros “Teddy” Abdelmalek, Senior Vice President of Business Development for HH Red Stone, accepted the award on the company’s behalf on June 18 in Washington, D.C.

“What makes this recognition meaningful is that it came from the team,” said Abdelmalek. “It was not something we submitted about ourselves or a story we tried to tell from the outside. It was based on how our people actually feel inside the organization.” The award underscores HH Red Stone’s operating philosophy, which the company calls “functional hospitality” — treating residents as CEOs and running properties with discipline and consistency across a nationwide portfolio of nearly 10,000 beds.

“A strong culture does not mean everything is easy,” Abdelmalek added. “It means people know what we are trying to accomplish, they know their work matters, and they feel empowered to make decisions that move the asset and the company forward. The best performing assets are usually not the ones with one big idea. They are the ones where the team executes hundreds of small things consistently. That is where culture becomes performance.”

The Top Workplaces distinction adds to a string of recent recognitions for HH Red Stone, which earlier this year was also ranked among the top 10 student housing companies nationally by ORA®. The company, based in Silver Spring, Maryland, is the property management arm of HH Group, managing approximately 10,000 beds across student housing, multifamily, affordable, and mixed-use properties nationwide. After a decade of exclusively managing HH Group’s owned portfolio, HH Red Stone launched its third-party management vertical to serve other owners with the same institutional-grade approach. More information can be found at www.hhredstone.com.

The recognition highlights the importance of employee feedback in shaping workplace culture and its direct impact on operational performance. For HH Red Stone, the award validates that a culture built on empowerment and consistent execution translates into tangible business outcomes. As the company expands its third-party management services, maintaining this culture will be key to sustaining growth and performance across its portfolio.
