Greenland Mines (GRML) Ties Together Rare Earths, Advanced Materials in Single Share Exchange

Greenland Mines (NASDAQ: GRML) has closed a strategic share exchange with AnorTech Inc., a deal that gives Greenland Mines its first foothold in midstream critical materials processing while giving AnorTech access to a NASDAQ-listed partner with growing capital markets presence and a portfolio of world-class Greenland assets.

Greenland Mines issued 12,400,000 of its common shares to AnorTech, valued at approximately $3.5 million at closing. In return, Greenland received proprietary processes developed by AnorTech to extract high-value materials from anorthosite, a rock type abundant in Greenland and on the moon. This transaction moves Greenland closer to the midstream segment of the critical materials value chain, bridging rare earths and advanced materials.

Anorthosite is a key source of alumina, silicon, calcium, and rare earth elements, and AnorTech's proprietary extraction methods aim to produce these materials with lower environmental impact compared to traditional mining. The deal was first announced June 16 and formally closed by the end of the month.

For Greenland Mines, the share exchange diversifies its asset base beyond raw mineral extraction. The company's existing portfolio includes rare earth elements, uranium, and other critical minerals in Greenland. By integrating AnorTech's midstream processing technology, Greenland Mines can potentially add value to its raw materials before sale, capturing more of the supply chain.

AnorTech benefits from the liquidity and visibility of a NASDAQ listing through its partnership with Greenland Mines. The share exchange provides AnorTech shareholders with a stake in a publicly traded entity, potentially increasing the valuation of AnorTech's intellectual property.

The transaction highlights the growing strategic importance of Greenland's mineral resources. As global demand for rare earths and advanced materials rises, driven by electric vehicles, renewable energy, and defense applications, Greenland's potential as a supplier becomes more significant. This deal positions Greenland Mines as a vertically integrated player, from extraction to processing.
