Dr. Patrick Ojo's 'Freedom For Pharmacy' Lands Publishing Deal with Brick Tower Press

Dr. Patrick Ojo, author of Freedom For Pharmacy, has signed a publishing agreement with Brick Tower Press, as negotiated by Creative Management Partners (CMP) agent Alan Morell. CMP will represent Dr. Ojo's commercial rights across all platforms, including literary works, a sequel, adaptation into a docuseries, speaking engagements, endorsements, advisory roles, online courses, and licensing.

The announcement comes as patients face escalating medication costs and confusion about their prescriptions. According to Brick Tower Press publisher John T. Colby Jr., Ojo's book pulls back the curtain on how the American pharmacy system actually works and offers practical guidance for navigating it. Colby noted that the publisher takes every author presented by CMP's Alan Morell seriously, calling Morell a leader in doctor-authored books worldwide. Ojo's journey from Nigeria to becoming a U.S. pharmacist and author makes the story compelling, Colby added.

Dr. Patrick Ojo was born and raised in Benin City, Nigeria. He earned a degree in chemistry from the University of Ife and taught science in Nigerian secondary schools before migrating to the United States in 1988. In the U.S., he worked as a caseworker for the New York City Department of Homeless Services while completing pre-pharmacy requirements at New York City Technical College and earning his first pharmacy degree from Long Island University, College of Pharmacy in Brooklyn. He became a U.S. citizen in 1996. In 1997, he moved to Florida for professional practice and later earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1999. He has practiced in community, hospital, compounding, prison, and institutional pharmacy settings.

Ojo expressed excitement about working with CMP and Brick Tower Press, calling the milestone significant both personally and professionally. Agent Alan Morell described Ojo as an American hero, referencing his work with homeless services, pharmacy education, and citizenship. Morell noted the timing with the nation's 250th anniversary and called Freedom For Pharmacy a must-read for audiences confused by big Pharma's control of the industry.

Brick Tower Press has published authors including Dr. Jane Goodall, Al Jardine of the Beach Boys, Paul Preuss, and Dr. Bob Arnot. Morell, CEO of Creative Management Partners, has over 40 years of experience managing more than 3,700 campaigns and representing clients who have won Grammy, Tony, Clio, Oscar, Emmy, and other prestigious awards.
