Darren and Mike Launch New Mentorship Initiative to Support Aspiring Business Owners

Darren Ewert and Mike Dreher, founders of The online business mentorship community The Dream Team, have unveiled a new initiative aimed at providing aspiring business owners with more direct and structured support during the critical early stages of building a business. The initiative, announced on August 28, 2026, expands the existing mentorship model by adding extra touchpoints for new members, particularly when they are most vulnerable to losing momentum.

The program focuses on increasing access to real guidance rather than adding another course or training module to the crowded field of online business education. It includes expanded access to mentors for new members in their first several months, additional structured check-ins during onboarding, and more opportunities for peer-to-peer connection within the community.

Mike Dreher emphasized the importance of this timing: "The first few months are where most people either build momentum or lose it. This initiative is about making sure nobody gets stuck in that stretch without someone to turn to. We've seen how much of a difference it makes when someone has a specific person to ask, instead of trying to sort through generic advice on their own."

Darren Ewert noted that the initiative grew from consistent feedback from the community: "Our members have told us, over and over, that the mentorship relationship is what makes the difference for them, more than any tool or resource we've built. So we asked what more we could do specifically on that front, and this initiative is the answer to that question."

The Dream Team's mission has always centered on mentorship, built on the belief that aspiring entrepreneurs perform better with structured guidance and a supportive community. This initiative reinforces that mission as the community grows. Darren and Mike say the goal is to ensure the mentorship experience scales alongside the community without becoming diluted.

The rollout includes more frequent mentor interactions, structured check-ins, and enhanced peer-to-peer networking. Darren and Mike plan to continue expanding mentorship resources in the coming months, with additional community investments expected.
