CHARBONE CORPORATION (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a vertically integrated industrial gases company, has entered into a long-term hydrogen supply contract with Hone Inc., a provider of mobile hydrogen power solutions for the entertainment industry. The binding agreement formalizes and extends a commercial relationship that began in January 2026, when CHARBONE made its first hydrogen sales in Ontario to Hone.
Under the two-year contract, CHARBONE will supply clean ultra-high purity (UHP) hydrogen to fuel Hone's trailer-mounted 165 kW hydrogen ICE generator systems. These generators serve as a zero-emission alternative to traditional diesel generators on film and television sets, displacing more than 1.5 tonnes of CO2 per generator day compared to diesel operations. Hone's proprietary Fuel Block™ delivery and drop-and-swap refueling system ensures uninterrupted power throughout production.
The partnership has gained traction with a major Hollywood Studio filming multiple productions in Toronto, which has utilized Hone's hydrogen generator service and CHARBONE's clean hydrogen on several occasions. This validation underscores the growing acceptance of hydrogen as a reliable power source in time-sensitive production environments.
Dave Gagnon, Chairman & CEO of CHARBONE, stated, "This long-term supply agreement with Hone reflects something meaningful: the entertainment industry is not just testing hydrogen, it is integrating it into active studio production workflows. Clean hydrogen is proving its value in some of the most demanding operational environments, where reliability, safety, and performance are non-negotiable."
Ry Smith, CEO of Hone, added, "Partnering with CHARBONE on a long-term basis gives Hone the supply certainty we need to confidently serve our clients across multiple Hollywood productions. Clean, reliable hydrogen is the foundation of our service offering, and CHARBONE's clean UHP hydrogen meets the quality and logistics standards our customers depend on."
CHARBONE has not disclosed the volume, pricing, or financial terms of the agreement to maintain its competitive position. However, the company noted that demand for its clean UHP hydrogen continues to outpace available supply, highlighting the strategic importance of expanding its production network.
