Charbone Advances Sorel-Tracy Phase 1B Construction and Installs Metrology Equipment for Clean Hydrogen Production

Charbone Corporation (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47), a vertically integrated industrial gases company, announced updates on the Phase 1B construction of its clean ultra-high purity (UHP) hydrogen plant in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, and the installation of metrology equipment for on-site batch purity testing. The company aims to make its upgraded production capacity operational during the upcoming fall.

Heavy civil construction equipment has arrived on-site, and Charbone's general contractor and subcontractor teams have commenced work. Surveyors have completed site markings for production areas, preparing for the arrival of production equipment in the coming weeks and the construction of an operation and maintenance building. This marks the official start of Phase 1B construction, which involves readying technological infrastructure and laying foundational structures for primary equipment assembly.

Additionally, a cutting-edge gas chromatography system has been deployed by a world-renowned firm specializing in life sciences, diagnostics, and applied markets. The system is engineered for high-purity hydrogen analysis, designed to identify traces of impurities and guarantee compliance with relevant purity standards. This installation enables Charbone to easily demonstrate its stringent purity benchmarks, aiming to enhance sales among customers requiring effective testing solutions.

“Our upgraded operations in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada, represent another cornerstone of our strategic growth and our commitment toward our shareholders and customers to a world class unique plant in its kind,” said Dave Gagnon, Chairman & CEO of Charbone. “We are proud to be a leader in high purity gases, fostering innovation and creating opportunities as we expand our sustainable practices.”

Charbone is developing a network of supply hubs for the production, storage, and distribution of UHP strategic industrial gases. The company serves sectors including semiconductors, artificial intelligence and data centers, advanced pharmaceuticals, and aerospace and defense technologies. Its modular, decentralized, and demand-driven approach supports scalable growth and operational flexibility. For more information, visit www.charbone.com.
