CAHEC, a community development organization that strengthens communities by providing affordable housing and supportive service initiatives in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, has welcomed Corine Sheridan to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2026. Sheridan brings more than 40 years of experience in affordable housing finance and investment, further strengthening CAHEC's leadership as the organization continues to advance its mission.
Sheridan retired in late 2024 following a distinguished career dedicated to expanding access to affordable housing nationwide. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Acquisitions at Berkadia from 2021 to 2024, where she led the Tax Credit Syndication team's nationwide origination and acquisition strategy. Prior to that, she spent nearly two decades at Boston Capital as Director of Originations, where she developed and executed the firm's targeted nationwide origination strategy. In 2024, she co-founded Sheridan Consulting, providing financial and organizational expertise to nonprofits and housing authorities.
Her extensive background and long-standing commitment to the affordable housing sector will provide valuable insight and strategic guidance as CAHEC looks toward the future. Sheridan's continued commitment to the sector is also reflected in her extensive nonprofit leadership. She serves on the boards of the Light House Shelter in Annapolis, Maryland, the Anne Arundel County Affordable Housing Coalition, and the Real Estate Committee of True Ground (formerly the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing) in Arlington, Virginia. Her board service underscores her dedication to addressing housing instability and supporting organizations that serve vulnerable populations.
