The City of Boerne has released its 2026 lineup of car shows and automotive events, showcasing a vibrant car culture that extends beyond mere vehicle display to encompass community celebration and charitable giving. From vintage tractor exhibitions to European motor gatherings, the calendar reflects the city's commitment to preserving automotive history while supporting local nonprofits and businesses.
Among the highlights is the Power of the Past on March 7, marking the 40th anniversary of The AgriCultural Museum & Arts Center. This event features vintage cars, engines, and tractors, along with live music, reenactors, and awards for Top 30 Vehicles and Best in Show. On March 28, the Italian Motor Gathering returns to Main Plaza for its seventh year, open to all Italian marques and free for spectators. April 18 brings the 33rd annual Texas Corvette Association Open Car Show, expected to draw nearly 500 Corvettes and classic vehicles, with proceeds benefiting SJRC Texas. The same day also kicks off the Black Rifle Block Parties, community events hosted by Black Rifle Coffee Company on April 18, July 4, and September 26, each featuring live music, food, and a car show.
October is a particularly busy month, starting with the Hill Country Mile Rod Run from October 2-4, hosted by Cibolo Creek Motor Club and open to American cars, trucks, and motorcycles from 1985 and older. Later in the month, the South Texas All British Car Day on October 24 showcases British-made automobiles at Main Plaza, followed by the German Motor Gathering on October 31, a premier exhibition of German motoring open to all German marques on two or four wheels, also free for spectators.
Tori Bellos, Marketing Specialist at Visit Boerne, emphasized the broader significance of these events. "Our events are more than just car shows, they’re celebrations of community, history and Texas pride," she said. "Whether you’re a collector, a spectator, or just love being around cars, there’s something for everyone." Many of the events support local charities, including SJRC Texas, and help drive foot traffic to family-owned businesses along the Hill Country Mile. Vehicle registration, schedules, and parking maps are available online, and most events are free for spectators with live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities.
Boerne's car culture is deeply rooted in the city's identity. "Boerne’s car culture is about passion, preservation and pride," Bellos added. "From vintage American automobiles to exotic international motors, it’s a celebration of automotive history and Texas heritage." The full calendar of events can be explored at the Boerne Calendar of Events.
