Autonomic AI, LLC has introduced AssuredCode-C, a specialized software synthesis engine designed for mission-critical military platforms, hypersonic vehicles, and autonomous defense hardware. The system is engineered to meet stringent safety, security, and execution requirements, deliberately avoiding competition with general-purpose LLMs by focusing exclusively on bare-metal C code that is MISRA-compliant.
The process involves offline development of templates that are stored in a repository. These templates, when populated, become specifications submitted to AssuredCode-C. Exhaustive testing and simulation of templates are crucial for safety, ensuring that generated code is reliable for defense applications.
AssuredCode-C achieves remarkable performance benchmarks: synthesis speed per code block is under 0.5 milliseconds, enabling real-time code generation at the sensor edge. Average energy consumption is approximately 2 Joules per passing module, about 1/100th of traditional LLM inference pipelines. This efficiency allows mission-critical systems to generate verified updates on power-constrained batteries, micro-UAVs, and tactical hardware.
To guarantee zero downtime, AssuredCode-C pairs with a certified Blue-Green runtime pipeline. Live sensor frames enter a certified hardware router, splitting signals across two isolated partitions: Blue (authoritative, driving actuators) and Green (shadow, running freshly synthesized modules). Green outputs pass through automated comparison engines and safety gates, with Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) interjection for tactical missions. Upon passing all checks, authority transfers atomically to Green, and the former Blue becomes the shadow for instant version failover.
