Aolani, a Singapore-founded AI cloud company, has signed a strategic compute collaboration with NVIDIA, marking a first-of-its-scale partnership for a Southeast Asian-founded company. The collaboration is set to significantly enhance the region's standing in the global AI ecosystem by accelerating and democratizing access to AI compute for AI-native companies, sovereigns, enterprises, and SMEs.
Under the agreement, Aolani will deploy NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs across two new AI factories in Malaysia and the Philippines, with 22,000 GPUs expected to be operational by early 2027. This will bring Aolani's total AI factory capacity to over 100 megawatts and its total GPU deployment to more than 48,000. As an NVIDIA Cloud Partner since 2023, Aolani will deliver NVIDIA-powered cloud services to a wide range of customers across Southeast Asia.
The collaboration employs a revenue-sharing and credit-support model that aligns infrastructure deployment with customer demand, providing a capital-efficient path for Aolani to scale its AI factories. This approach is designed to broaden access to large-scale accelerated computing, which is critical for organizations looking to build and scale advanced AI workloads.
Southeast Asia is one of the most robust AI markets globally, with AI adoption rates among companies outpacing the global average. According to a McKinsey & Company report, the region is experiencing an era of opportunity in AI. Furthermore, more than US$50 billion has been invested by global hyperscalers in AI-ready data centers and cloud infrastructure in the region, as noted by the Singapore Economic Development Board.
While Malaysia has already established itself as a premier AI factory hub in Asia, the Philippines represents a high-potential emerging market. Aolani's deployment there is expected to be among the first large-scale AI infrastructure platforms in the country, broadening access to advanced AI compute and supporting the buildout of essential AI infrastructure.
