Andina Copper Reports Outstanding Drill Intercepts from Second Hole at Cobrasco Project in Colombia

Andina Copper Corporation released assay results from drillhole CDH004 at its Cobrasco copper-molybdenum project, revealing wide intercepts of high-grade mineralization and supporting the potential for a globally significant deposit.

Andina Copper Reports Outstanding Drill Intercepts from Second Hole at Cobrasco Project in Colombia

Andina Copper Corporation (TSX-V: ANDC | FSE: FIR | OTCQB: PMMCF) has reported exceptional drill results from the second hole of its maiden diamond drilling program at the Cobrasco copper-molybdenum project in Choco, Colombia. The results from drillhole CDH004, following on from the high-grade intersections in CDH003, further validate the size and scale of the mineralized system.

Drillhole CDH004, completed to a depth of 900.25 meters, intersected significant copper-molybdenum mineralization, including a 107-meter interval from 579 to 686 meters averaging 0.75% copper, with a peak 2-meter assay of 1.70% copper. The hole also encountered sporadic gold mineralization up to 1.06 g/t, suggesting a possible gold-rich intrusive phase within the broader Cobrasco system. These intercepts build on the previously reported results from CDH003, which returned 352 meters at 0.68% copper and 112 ppm molybdenum, including 118 meters at 1.17% copper and 193 ppm molybdenum (refer News Release dated 5 February 2026).

President and CEO Joseph van den Elsen commented, “Following recent results from CDH003, the wide intercepts of high-grade copper mineralization reported in CDH004 further validate the size, scale and grade of the Cobrasco system. We see the potential for a globally significant deposit(s) at Cobrasco, and mobilization of a second drill rig to expedite rapid exploration and evaluation is planned.”

The geology of CDH004 revealed a complex sequence of porphyry intrusions and breccias. The strongest copper grades are associated with intensely fractured magmatic-hydrothermal breccias between 579 and 686 meters, interpreted as a significant contributor to the mineralized system due to effective fluid focusing. The hole also intersected multiple phases of felsic volcanic rocks and late-stage phreatomagmatic breccias, which are considered low-grade and may represent a boundary lithology for future drilling.

Meanwhile, drillhole CDH005, designed to test the southern extensions of the mineralized system, has been completed to 934 meters. Although assays are pending, geological logging has identified visually significant chalcopyrite-dominant sulphide mineralization with sericitic alteration, consistent with mineralized porphyry systems elsewhere in the district. The continuity of intrusive phases and alteration styles supports the interpretation of a large, long-lived mineralizing system extending south of the current drill footprint.

Step-out drillhole CDH006 is currently underway, targeting potential large extensions of the system. The company plans to mobilize a second drill rig to accelerate exploration and evaluation. These results underscore the potential for a large-scale porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit at Cobrasco, with significant volumes of high-grade mineralization evident. The ongoing drilling program aims to systematically expand the mineralized footprint, add volume to copper grade shells, and define the lateral extents of the system. Andina Copper holds two significant discoveries along the Andean porphyry belt in Argentina and Colombia, and a copper-gold target in Chile.
