Author Ali Zokaee is solidifying his presence in the Canadian literary scene with an ambitious series of book signings at Indigo locations across the Greater Toronto Area. With 39 appearances confirmed from April through October 2026, and additional events expected before year-end, Zokaee is engaging directly with readers and building momentum for his works.
The tour has already demonstrated significant reader interest. Across the first 16 signing events for which Zokaee reported sales results, stores sold an average of more than 85 percent of the copies ordered per event, with seven appearances achieving 100 percent sell-through. One notable highlight was his July 25 appearance at Indigo Yonge & Eglinton in Toronto, where every available copy of Useful Quotes: True, Practical But Not Pleasing sold out in less than four and a half hours.
Zokaee's success has encouraged him to continue returning to Indigo stores throughout the year, including locations where he is introducing his second book, The History Of Music And Cinema: Evaluation Part 1, as well as events featuring both titles. Each appearance offers him a chance to meet readers personally, introduce his work to new communities, and steadily grow his audience.
The schedule began on April 4 at Indigo Eaton Centre and includes stops at various Indigo and Coles locations, with events spread across the Greater Toronto Area. Highlights include multiple appearances at Indigo TD Center, where he will feature his second book on July 8 and both books on August 12 and September 23. Other notable events include signings at Indigo Sherway Gardens, Indigo Square One, and Indigo Fairview.
Zokaee plans to add several more appearances before the end of 2026, bringing his total to approximately 40 bookstore events. He also intends to continue this momentum into 2027 with additional appearances featuring both of his books.
Beyond Canada, Zokaee has initiated outreach to Barnes & Noble locations in the United States as part of a longer-term effort to expand his in-person bookstore presence. His books are available through major retailers, including Indigo, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Waterstones.
