Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. (ABH) announced today the opening of a new outpatient office in Hagerstown, extending its mental health services into Washington County for the first time. The location, which began seeing patients on September 1, 2026, marks a significant step in ABH's mission to meet Maryland clients where they are. With this expansion, the organization now serves individuals, youth, and families across six counties, bringing the same standard of clinical care to Washington County residents as is available at ABH's other locations.

The facility offers a comprehensive range of services, including onsite and offsite individual and family therapy, school-based therapy, telehealth counseling, and psychiatric evaluation and medication management. These services are designed to address the diverse needs of the community, from children to adults, and to provide flexible options for accessing care.
ABH also plans to introduce its Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) to the Hagerstown office once Maryland's PRP moratorium lifts, expected in 2027. This addition will further build out the continuum of care available to Washington County residents, offering support for individuals with serious mental illness to develop skills and integrate into the community. The PRP is a key component of ABH's comprehensive approach to behavioral health, and its future availability in Hagerstown underscores the organization's long-term commitment to the region.
The expansion into Washington County comes at a critical time when mental health services are in high demand across the state.
